As an Assistant Coach and Program Administrator of Santa Clara Aquamaids, Shannon Korpela has been involved with the sport on all levels. She swam for 9 years, Coached for 30 years and enjoyed her two daughters growth in the sport with the Aquamaids. She has held many positions on the Pacific Association Board, West Zone and was Vice President of Education and Certification for USA Synchro for 4 years; along with moving up the judges ranks to become a FINA A judge.
